Teacher Education Leadership Academy (TELA)

The ways teachers can lead are as varied as teachers themselves. Teacher leaders assume a wide range of roles to support the school and student success. Whether these roles are assigned formally or shared informally, they build the entire school’s capacity to improve. Because teachers can lead in a variety of ways, many teachers can serve as leaders among their peers.

PinkGrape Consulting’s TELA initiative allow districts to cultivate teacher leaders right in their backyard by providing them the opportunity to grow and nurture the special gifts. TELA is a five-stage teacher leadership initiative that provides emerging to high-performing teachers’ leadership opportunities for advancement inside the classroom, their neighboring school, as well as additional responsibility and increased recognition within their district and beyond.  At its core, TELA is about providing strategic leadership opportunities for teachers as professionals, while making your district an incubator where educators can continue to learn and foster; a convergence of dynamic energies in an involved environment where innovation is embraced and creativity nurtured and their efforts respected and valued.

TELA gives teacher and school districts the opportunity to:
